Autumn vacation
Enjoy nature while having fun
In autumn, the landscapes of Aubrac and the Truyère gorges change colors and are adorned with multitudes of golden shades. The day is still beautiful, the ideal weather to discover our territory in a fun way. Of the thematic walks with a games booklet for children, orienteering races, treasure hunts, there is something to entertain both young and old.
Enter Ali Baba's cave
On the Soulages-Bonneval side, an exceptional space: the Attic of Capou. This unique place is a huge collection of ancient objects. Told with so much passion, this journey through time transports all generations!
Marvel at jewels
Another place of another kind, but still in this Ali Baba cave spirit: Miner' Aubrac. This collection of minerals is located in Saint-Amans-des-Côts. You will be amazed, the collection is breathtaking.
Ride a horse
Finally, autumn days are conducive to horseback or pony rides. Throughout our territory, you will find numerous equestrian farms which offer you the opportunity to discover our paths in a different way and under the golden leaves.
Winter holidays
Enjoy the joys of snow
Mittens, coats, hats! It's the season for activities ski resorts of Laguiole and Brameloup. Go down the toboggan run in full gear or put on your alpine or cross-country skis. For beginners courses are offered by theFrench ski school. It is also possible to let yourself slide with the walks in sled dogs : ideal for discovering the most secret corners of the Aubrac plateau.
Relax in the water
To relax after skiing and enjoy an indoor activity, why not take a dip in the swimming pool Natura ? It is a leisure and relaxation space in the heart of the Carladez nature, perfect for a pleasant and friendly moment.
Treat yourself to good cheese
For early risers, why not consider a quick visit to one of the cheese cooperatives ? In the morning, the milkman brings the day's milking. Cheesemakers can then transform the milk into cheese. You will see them working through a glass gallery, before tasting the cheese at the end of the visit.

In spring, the weather can still be a little capricious in North Aveyron. Here are some ideas for visits to do indoors, but also outdoors.
An idea for a musical outing?
In Argentina, open the doors of World Bagpipes Museum. You will discover a place of memory to the sounds of bagpipes from the world of yesterday and today: an exceptional museographic universe for young and old.
A moment full of tenderness with animals
To also enjoy the beautiful spring days, the Bornottes educational farm opens its doors to you. This small farm on a human scale will introduce you to its goats, sheep, pigs, ponies, llamas, horses, donkeys, cows, rabbits and ornamental poultry.
The paths of the imagination
For a short family hike, go on the trails of the Imagination. These trails are designed for children, with hidden treasures to discover along the way and a low altitude difference for their little legs. Loops of 1 to 4.5 km to discover enchanting thematic paths.

Activities around water
Summer is swimming season. Here are some ideas to spend the day feet in the water at the swimming pool or in our lakes.
La Aqualoa water park will delight children: located at Lake Maury, on the beach of the Tours campsite, this inflatable water park is the largest in the entire Aveyron department.
Fancy a relaxing day of fishing and picnicking by the water? THE Picades lake is the ideal place: shaded and equipped with picnic tables, you can throw the hook following the good advice of the agents of the Aveyron fishing federation.
Castles to pretend to be knights
Le Valon Castle transforms children into knights or princesses. Immerse yourself in the Middle Ages as soon as you enter the castle: the visit begins in costume. Want to climb the 111 steps of the impressive stone staircase of the keep to discover a sumptuous panorama of the Truyère gorges? As to Calmont d'Olt castle, it dominates the Lot valley from the top of its rocky spur. It will propel you into the life of the Middle Ages thanks to a multitude of activities and workshops.
Not far from Valon, the Carladez donkeys await you for the hand milking of the donkey farm and to discover the making of artisanal soap making.
On summer evenings, what a treat to eat at Country Producers' Markets and night markets from 18 p.m. to 22:30 p.m. Everyone chooses what they want to eat and buys their plate from the producer. These markets are offered throughout the country. You can end your evening under the stars, to observe the night sky of Aubrac.
