With little difference in altitude, overhang the lake of Sarrans then head north with the line of sight of the lead of Cantal.

A small loop on the plateau around Thérondels, bordered to the South by the Sarrans dam and to the North by the peaks of the Cantal volcano. Between the two, the Siniq valley brings its touch of wooded freshness

Getting to the starting point to report a problem

Step 1

From Thérondels, follow the direction of Sainte-Geneviève / Sarrans dam (D139). Cross Pervilhergues then Jou, before beginning the descent.

Step 2

At Km 4.7: turn right at the intersection with the D98, direction Brommat.

Step 3

300 m further, turn left to reach Cassagnes before joining the D98

Step 4

Enter Jongues, on the left and make the loop in the hamlet to then set off again on the D98.

Step 5

At Km 10.1: at the intersection with a small road, turn right to go up due north.

Step 6

At the intersection with the D18, turn right.

Step 7

At Km 13.7: turn left on the D575 towards Nigresserre. To return directly to Thérondels, continue straight on the D18.

Step 8

At Km 15.5: arriving at Ladinhac, turn right towards Douzalbats (Doux Albats).

Step 9

Km 18.1: in Douzalbats, turn left at the intersection and continue to join the D79.

Step 10

Turn right and go straight north on the D79 towards Pont-la-Vieille.

Step 11

At Km 22.9: turn right on the D990 (Pierrefort/St Flour). You will pass over a small bridge and enter the hamlet of Pont la Vieille.
