Your itinerary
Step 1
From the car park, take the path that descends into the chestnut grove. Pass three gates and cross the chestnut grove. Follow the path to the forest track. Arrived at the track, turn left to the Plane stream (about 100 meters).
Step 2
Cross the small bridge and follow the uphill forest track. Arrived at the cross track, turn left. You are on the part of the botanical trail. At the road turn right through the hamlet "Le Laux".
Step 3
At the crossroads, leave the track and go straight down the path. Follow it and turn left to the first fitted platform. This overlooks a canyon in which a stream descends which flows into the Truyère, while feeding steep and magnificent waterfalls. Opposite, you will admire the Château de Valon and the Gorges de la Truyère. Go up, take the path for 10 meters and turn left towards the second fitted platform. Go up and take the track on the left. Go over the bridge and go up to the left to follow the path.
Step 4
At the forest track, take the path that climbs opposite. Follow this path to the hamlet of Le Prat, go up the road to the crossroads. At the crossroads go left on the road to then join the forest track on your right.
Step 5
Arrived at "Les Chayes", follow the small road to the crossroads. Turn right to return to the starting point.
