From the village of Laguiole reach the Lac des Galens, passing by the Château du Bousquet and Soulages-Bonneval: through paths and lakesides, the circuit offers technical and pleasant passages.

Description

Departing from Laguiole, descend along shaded paths that wind to Le Bousquet. Then in a few pedal strokes, you find yourself on the outskirts of Lac des Galens then to the village of Soulages-Bonneval. Then you follow a few final sunken paths then reach the start at Laguiole.

WARNING: dangerous path with stones and rocks around Barrio, drive at a walking pace or dismount.

Your itinerary

Getting to the starting pointto report a problem

Step 1

From Place du Foirail, go down a small path on the left at the back of the square. At the bottom of the path turn right, pass the retirement home and turn left along a small path.

Step 2

Before the bend, turn right onto the path which crosses the stream, then go up the track opposite. At the intersection continue straight on then turn right on the next to go down to the road. Take the road for 30m then take a smaller road on the left and go down to the right 150m further. Go off to the right and continue on a track.

Step 3

Turn right at the intersection and follow the track until the next intersection, continue left, go down the track, leave a path on the right. At the crossroads, head straight ahead and continue under the trees until you reach a crossroads, turn right. Go down to the stream and cross it to reach Le Bousquet. In Bousquet, pass below the castle then recover the road.

Step 4

Take the road on the left and immediately go down left, cross the stream and take a track on the left. At a fork, turn right to join the road. Take the road for 300m and continue straight on at Quatre Routes, leave the road 100m after the intersection for a path going uphill on the left in the middle of the fields. Return to the road after the forest, stay on the road for 700m, then turn right at the second intersection, at the hamlet of Campeyrel, follow a small road then continue straight on a path. Follow this same path until you find the road again, take it on the right to reach Les Galens and then the dam.

Step 5

Turn right after passing the dam to reach Galens beach, go around the swimming area and follow the path along the lake then turn left to go up to the stadium. Take the road on the left for 100m then turn right to reach the place called Campgris, cross the place to find a path which goes down to the village of Soulages-Bonneval.

Step 6

Cross the village and go around the church on the left, go up the street to a crossroads, take the track on the right which turns into a path. After the small path lined with low walls, turn right onto the track which goes down to Oulhou. Just before entering the hamlet take the D541 on the left to reach Laguiole and go up the same street as on the way to the Gendarmerie.
