A sporty loop around the Gorges de la Truyère, with the possibility of a swimming break halfway through.

Take a medieval dungeon perched on its rock, add a route along the famous Truyère gorges, sprinkle with a few villages to discover, pretty hills and beautiful descents, and here is a very beautiful route of nature and culture, short but demanding .

Getting to the starting point to report a problem

Step 1

At the start, take the D904 to the right until you leave the village. Then turn left on the D97 to go down to Valon, then cross the river and go up to Montézic.

Step 2

At Km 13.6: at the crossroads in the village, turn left towards St-Gervais/St-Symphorien. Follow the D504 which runs alongside the Montézic reservoir.

Step 3

At Km 21.4: after St-Gervais, at a crossroads near high-voltage lines and a cross, turn left on the D111, cross Benaven and reach the entrance to Sainte-Geneviève-sur-Argence.

Step 4

At Km 32.8: at the crossroads, turn left on the D900 towards Mur-de-Barrez. Follow the D900 to descend to La Truyère and then reach Brommat.

Step 5

At Km 49.4: turn left at the roundabout in the direction of Mur-de-Barrez, then immediately left after the bridge over the D98 towards Lacroix-Barrez/Vayssade join the D904 and follow it to Lacroix-Barrez .
