Getting to the starting pointto report a problem

Step 1

From Mur-de-Barrez, from Place du Foirail, turn left into Rue du Faubourg, then Passage Saint Roch to go down to the center of the town. Facing the Monaco tower, turn right then immediately left into rue du Théron on the left (direction Vétérinaire, etc.) to reach the crossroads with the D900 which you take to the left towards Aurillac.

Step 2

Turn right on the D79 towards Brommes. Cross the village and stay on the D79 until the intersection with the D990.

Step 3

At Km 15: turn left on the D990 then the first right towards Malbo/Vallée du Siniq and go up the D401, staying at the bottom of the valley. At the crossroads with the D54, head towards Malbo, on the right. (To see the Capat waterfall, in photo, continue straight on the road, then a motorable track takes you almost to the foot of the waterfall. Then turn to take the road back to Malbo). Follow the D54 crossing Malbo then Roupons and Narnhac until you reach the D990.

Step 4

At Km 29: take the D990 on the right before turning left on the D18 in the direction of Thérondels.

Step 5

In Thérondels, follow the direction of Sainte-Geneviève / Sarrans dam (D139). Cross Pervilhergues then Jou, before beginning the descent. At the next crossing, turn left on the D98 and then walk along the banks of the dam in the direction of Brommat.

Step 6

At Km 43.7: then go up on the D166 to the right, towards Brommat via Albinhac.

Step 7

At Km 52.2: turn left after the hairpin bend arriving at Brommat and go up to Mur-de-Barrez via the D900.
