Departing from Verlac, a typical mountain village with superb panoramas and crossing the Mardonenque stream. This circuit is therefore only practicable in summer.

Description

By a small road oriented North-West, go up to Verlaguet.
Take the wide path that goes to the right (north). 
At elevation 1008, turn right and join the D503 at the Col de Verlac (wooden Celtic cross, primitive sculpture). Turn left and enter Les Mazes.
Cross the hamlet towards the bottom, passing an old barn transformed into guest rooms. Go down the path (east facing) for more than 1km to Boralde Monnette. 
Ford successively two Boraldes (caution). At Boralde Mardonenque, ruin of a mill 100m on the right.
Go up towards Naves by a south-facing path that you follow for about 2km. it is possible to visit the village, in full renovation, then retrace its steps.
Take the path that goes southwest at the entrance to the village and head towards Le Cros.
Turn left and cross the hamlet. At the fork just at the exit, turn right onto the path below which leads to Les Recostes. Take a path to the west which, after about 1km, turns north. Reach the s/Madonenque footbridge, which has been redone.
Go up to Fessouyres. Follow the small asphalt road for 700m, then turn right onto a wide path, and go up to Verlac (1200m).
