La Sauvetat
This circuit crosses the plateaus, where meadows and pastures rich in flowers line the path leading to the village of La Sauvetat. The traditional houses are well preserved. Very nice view of the Cantal mountains.
Route details
Description
Village square, take the road to ESPEYRAC, LE LAUSSIER (to the left of the Hotel-restaurant), for 250 meters, then take the stony path on the right, which climbs through the pastures.
At the crossroads, cross the road and take the stony path opposite and continue straight on to the village of LA SAUVETAT. At the asphalt road, turn right and enter the village.
(Off the circuit, cross the village to the last houses, viewpoint over the Cantal mountains). At the crossroads in the village, turn left on the path which goes down between the houses and continue until the next crossroads where you take the path on the left which goes up towards LES VAYSSIERES HAUTES. At the road, turn right for 200 meters.
At the crossroads, leave the asphalt road, and take the path on the right between the ash hedges, up to the ESPAYRAC farm (beautiful farmhouse, fountains, stone water troughs, bread oven). At the farm, turn right.
At the road, turn left to return to LIEUDADES
