Description

At the ski resort of Saint-Urcize, below the cross-country ski center on the side of the departmental road n°13. Take the track that goes up through the forest to the north end of the quarry, 50 meters below the cross-country ski centre. Follow the cross-country ski trail.
Cross the chicane, bypass the temporary lake, cross the clearing going up the cross-country ski trail.
Turn left, leave the cross-country track and follow a well-marked cutting path towards another clearing up the track.
On the edge of the forest, pass the chicane and follow the fence for 150 meters (off the circuit on the right, the Roc de Carbonade). Entering the woods, after 200 meters, you reach the cross-country ski trail.
Follow this track (wide forest path) to the right for 1 kilometer and join the RD13.
Take the forest track opposite and follow it straight for 800 metres.
Cross the small Hère stream, then turn right into a small path that climbs through a spruce plantation, cross the clearing.
Go up the alpine ski slope to the right until the arrival of the ski lift (outside the circuit on the right, the Croix des Goutals, exceptional view of the Aubrac).
Pass the ski lift and follow the cross-country ski trail for about 3 kilometers to the ski resort.
Take the path that goes up towards the RD 13 to the right of the reception building. Take the RD 13 to the left for 200 meters to reach the start.
