Autour du Mont Alhérac
This circuit departing from Fournels will take you around Mont Alhérac crowned by the remains of its medieval castle. It climbs up to the imposing farm of Aussets from where the view of the volcanic massif of Cantal is very beautiful before reaching Termes. On the way back you will take a section of the GR® de Pays Tour des Monts d'Aubrac.

Description
From the Place de la Mairie de Fournels, head towards Termes, cross the bridge over the Bédaule. At the crossroads, turn right on the small paved road.
A few meters further, it becomes a path. At the cross, leave a path to the right, another to the left and go up opposite.
Ignore a path on the right then another on the left and continue straight until you reach a small road under the Aussets farm.
Follow this small road to the left and go down to the hamlet of Fromagère which you cross by turning right between the houses.
At the “T” intersection, turn right onto the track towards Termes. Cross the Ruisseau de Lachant. Cross the D 989 (> be careful!) and reach the bottom of the village of Termes.> Follow the second road on the left to climb the hill of Termes (15 minutes round trip): church (remodeled in the XNUMXth century), table orientation and vast panorama, honey house Les Abeilles du Cantou
Take the first road on the right, reach the D989 which you cross (> be careful!) and, at the fork, turn right onto the GR® de Pays Tour des Monts d'Aubrac in the direction of Pruniérette. Follow it and reach a crossroads of wide tracks.
Take the one on the right which descends to Lasfonds and reaches Pruniérette.
Turn right and cross the hamlet of Pruniérette, keeping to the right on a small paved road. Take a first path to the right. Go past a cross and go down to the right [ > view of the Cantal, Bédaule and Fournels mountains]. Go along a reach supplying water to an old mill and reach point 2.
