The Carladez offers a remarkable stargazing backdrop with very little light pollution. An astronomy observatory has been built for this purpose in Frons (Commune of Thérondels). The enthusiasts of the association organize discoveries of the sky there thanks to the 2 telescopic lifts.
Possibility of astronomy outings outside the given dates, only by reservation. From January 1 to June 30 and from September 1 to December 31.
The observatory is equipped with several telescopes including a fixed 250mm one. The Carladez offers a remarkable backdrop for stargazing.
The activity will be done in 2 stages:
During the first part you will be able to observe the stars outdoors with a volunteer.
The second part will be the viewing of some celestial objects with the telescope in the dome of the observatory.
Astronomy outings open to all.
Meet at the observatory car park (come 10 minutes before)
No pets.
For people with reduced mobility, possibility of installing a microscope outside.
Means of payment accepted: cash and checks
Trips may be canceled if weather conditions are unfavourable.
