This pretty walk in the heart of the Aubrac landscapes will allow you to gain height and have a 360° view, from the Cantal mountains to the Aubrac plateau. A pretty flowery rendezvous with the meadows of orchids in spring followed by the emblematic yellow gentians.

Your itinerary

Getting to the starting point to report a problem

Step 1

At the exit of the village of Lacalm, towards Chaudes Aigues, opposite the fairground, you will find a stele with a statue: that of the Clairon Rolland. From the Clairon Rolland stele, follow the road to the right as far as the village exit sign, then take the small road to the right in the direction of "Sessières".

Step 2

Just before the hamlet of Sessières, leave the road and take the track that climbs to the right. Follow this track to the crossroads with the D 165. Turn left on the road then the first track which rises steeply to the right. On the heights, magnificent view of the Cantal mountains.

Step 3

Arrived at the road (D 165), turn right then take the first draille (path used by the herds) which goes up on your left. Follow this trail to the village of Lacalm, admiring the sublime panorama over the village, the Truyère valley and the Cantal mountains.
