Description

Cross the bridge over the A 75. Ignore the path on the right and go down to a bridge over the Biourière. Cross it then climb to the right for about 350 m.
In a bend leave the path to take a stile on the right which spans a stream. The lightly marked path ( > On the right, carefully follow the markings!) winds up through pines and hundred-year-old chestnut trees and reaches the village of Valmanières [ > Eglise]. Go straight through the village and follow the small road to a fork.
Take the paved road to the right which descends to a bridge over the Biourière. Cross it and climb towards Le Croizier. In the hamlet, let the road go to the left and continue straight between the houses, on a slightly uphill path which comes to a ridge.
Go right north of a recent agricultural building. [ > point of view: cf. section To discover along the way.] Ignore a track on the left and go down a stony path to the bridge over the motorway. Cross it and return to the starting point.
