La Chapelle d'Aurelle
Departing from St Geniez d'Olt and Aubrac, in the Lot valley, you will slowly climb the slopes of Aubrac to discover the village and the chapel of Aurelle. It can only be reached on foot!

Description
At the exit of the cloister, turn left into rue de l'Hôtel de Ville, cross the Lot on the Vieux Pont. Turn right into rue du Moulin for 60m, then take rue de la Poujade on the left. Pass in front of the Saint Antoine chapel and turn left
At the crossroads of the road which goes up to the cemetery, continue along the path straight ahead (chemin Fournas). The path runs alongside old vines or strawberry fields, before entering the undergrowth. It becomes more boxed in. At the intersection, continue right towards the Aurelle chapel (signpost). At Batut, take the path on the left, direction Volmanières, for 600m.
At the crossroads, turn right and continue for 2 km, until the crossroads with the road leading to St Martin de Montbon. Cross this road and take the path in front of you, which overlooks the D503. At the cross, follow the path which goes to the right to reach Verlaguet.
Leave the hamlet on your right. At the crossroads (wooden cross), follow the path, straight on, for 1km. At the corner of the plot (side point 1008m), turn left onto a farm road to the hamlet of Escoudats.
Cross Les Escoudats, then go down left on a grassy path. Cross the stream (footbridge) and follow the path in the open. At the crossroads (signpost), turn left and reach the Aurelle chapel. Head left and at the last house, go up a path on the left. At the crossroads, go straight, cross the stream (wooden footbridge) then turn left. Go up through the woods to the road, which you follow to the left for 100m, then turn right, onto a dirt road. At the intersection, continue straight on until the road which leads to Corbières. Follow left towards Saint Martin de Montbon. Pass in front of the church, join the Barribès stream and cross it. Follow the forest track on the left for 1km. Cross Volmanières and continue until the path intersection at point 3.
At the intersection of point 3. taken on the outward path, turn right onto a path in the woods for approximately 1km. At the crossroads, turn right onto a wide path towards Puech del Rey. Cross the Barribès stream for the first time and follow it to the left. Cross the stream a second time. Ignore the path which goes up to the right, follow the stream and ford it before reaching St Geniez d'Olt. Go down rue du Barribès to the iron cross, go left and pass in front of the church. Cross the Pont Vieux and go up rue de l'Hôtel de Ville to the cloister and reach the car park.
