Route details
Description
Facing the stone cross, go left (common route with the GR670). After the cemetery, reach a fork (separation with the GR670).
Follow the Chirac road on the right for approximately 500 m, until you reach the start of the path on the right.
Follow this path and quickly reach a crossroads of tracks. Turn right to go up to the hamlet of Saint-Bonnet-de-Chirac. Move forward to a plot. Go right.
Turn left onto a path that climbs to Truc de Saint-Bonnet. Arrive in sight of a barrier.
Take a path on the left which overlooks the ascending path. Follow the edge of the field; leave it for a path in the boxwoods to a paraglider takeoff area. Follow the edge of the plateau heading towards a very large iron cross. Turn along the edge of the board. Further on, leave the grassy path for a path in the boxwood on the left passing as close as possible to a fence. Cross a barrier and follow the circuit of the plateau along the fence.
Go down a steep path to the left until you reach a road; follow it to the right for approximately 300 m.
Go left, pass a barrier, close it. After 100 m, take a path which goes down through the boxwoods to a chapel. Going down from the chapel, reach a road. (Join with GR670)
Turn left for about 350 m, this road going up. (Separation with the GR670)
Take a steeply descending track to the right. Reach a small road, go left. Cross the Romardiès over a bridge and reach a junction.
Follow the road to the right. Ignore a road on the left before Coulomb. Further on, cross Fournens. At the exit of the hamlet, the road bends, then descends quickly to the Romardiès stream, crosses it on a bridge then winds back up to Les Bories. At the crossroads at the entrance to the village, ignore the road on the left and the road on the right which goes down. Go up the street opposite and reach the starting point.
