With our two professions of blacksmith and cutler, every step of the process of making a Laguiole knife is carried out in our workshops in Laguiole. Discover our artisanal production through free tours throughout the year:

1 – the main visit: visit to the cutlery workshop

In the first part, seated in an air-conditioned amphitheater, discover the history of Laguiole, the “true and false”, sharpening… (with answers to questions). In the second part, you go into the workshop with a cutler; he shapes the handle of a Laguiole knife in front of you.

All year round, visits from Monday to Saturday. Departure at 11 a.m. – 14:30 p.m. – 15:45 p.m. – 17 p.m. (Sundays & public holidays, contact us). With more than 10 adults, guided tours for both parties. With less than 2 adults, guided tour + video. With less than 10 adults, video.

2 – the technical visit: the mechanical forge

Enter the heart of our blacksmithing profession through an educational tour to discover the manufacturing processes of blades, springs, bees, bolsters and plates.
All year round, Monday to Friday: self-guided and informative tour.

3 – the historical visit: our Museum and the Damascus steel blacksmith

Admire our heritage of forged objects and our collection of old Laguiole knives. On some afternoons you will marvel at the forging of damascus steel (or laminated steel). All year round, Monday to Saturday: free & informative visit. Free entry for any purchase in our company.
