Coutellerie Forge de Laguiole

The FORGE DE LAGUIOLE factory was founded in 1987 with the ambition of reviving the legendary Laguiole knife in its original lands. Holding the prestigious label LIVING HERITAGE COMPANY, it has become an essential reference of French know-how. Each model is assembled, adjusted and shaped by hand, guaranteeing exceptional quality.

Great designers, such as Philippe Starck, Ora Ïto et Andrée Putman, have reinterpreted this iconic knife, while renowned chefs such as Michel and Sebastien Bras ou Anne Sophie Pic invited him to their table.

The factory, designed by Philippe Starck, impresses with its modern architecture, marked by an impressive 18-meter blade crossing the building, symbolizing the alliance between tradition and innovation.

  • Saturday: 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. / 14 p.m.-18 p.m.

Workshop tour:

• All year :
  The Forge de Laguiole workshop is open for free and self-guided tours.

• In July and August:
  5 free guided tours are offered from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

  Times of guided tours:
  10am, 10:45am, 14pm, 15pm, 16pm

  Each visit includes a demonstration of how to assemble a folding knife and a tour of the workshops.
  Average duration : 50 minutes

• The Saturday :
  A demonstration of the assembly of a folding knife is organized, lasting approximately 30 minutes.
