Legend tells us that a statue of the Virgin was discovered by shepherds in the hollow of a chestnut tree. The discovery of the Notre-Dame-de-Lez chapel is undoubtedly the high point of this superb itinerary. Dedicated to the Blessed Virgin, this sanctuary was built in 1745 in the heart of the forest on the site of Lez. To get there, you will have to walk along the Combellou valley and its stream, then on the way back, cross the plateau and return to Taussac.
If the route requires a good physical condition, a gravel descent requires a correct technical mastery.
