Jewels of French Renaissance architecture and dominating the Goul valley, Messilhac is an authentic and bewitching monument, located in a wild and preserved environment.

The Château de Messilhac is the only intact vestige of Renaissance architecture in Cantal. Evidenced by its sculpted facade and its straight Italian staircase.

From the top of its watchtowers, a superb panorama over the Goul valley.

Guided tours every day except Saturday, at 15 p.m., 16 p.m. and 17 p.m.

In autumn 2009, the château was the location for the filming of Bertrand Tavernier's film: La Princesse de Montpensier.
