The Nasbinals – Saint-Chély-d'Aubrac stage is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located at 1 meters above sea level, Nasbinals has in its heart of the village, a superb little Romanesque church dating from the 180th century. You will arrive at Aubrac (1 m above sea level), a village at the crossroads of the three departments Aveyron, Cantal and Lozère. The name of this village comes from “Alto Braco” which means “high place”, because it is the highest village in altitude of the department of Aveyron. This old domes presents an emblematic and mystical place still today.

In the heart of the Aubrac plateau, you will enjoy the vast expanses of summer pastures and burons as far as the eye can see, before descending towards the Boralde valley which is home to the village of Saint-Chély-d'Aubrac and its roofs of slates. The descent is technical, the terrain is uneven in places and the descent is steep (500 meters in altitude).

From Saint-Chély-d'Aubrac to Saint-Côme-d'Olt, 16 kilometers await you for about four hours of walking. The path begins a climb to leave the Boralde valley, before descending into the Lot valley to discover Saint-Côme-d'Olt (360 meters above sea level), a village classified as the Most Beautiful Village in France and its very particular twisted steeple.

Of the seven sections of the Ways of Santiago de Compostela in France listed as World Heritage, two are in Aveyron: Nasbinals – Saint-Chély-d'Aubrac and Saint-Côme-d'Olt – Estaing. There are also four listed bridges (Saint-Chély-d'Aubrac, Espalion, Estaing, Conques) and the Sainte-Foy abbey church in Conques.
